If you don’t really like sweet potatoes, you need to try this recipe and then re-evaluate. They are SO good, crispy, and actually healthy. I don’t love sweet, sweet potatoes. I prefer savory, and that’s exactly what these are. Make sure to follow the recipe order, it makes a difference :)
Ingredients:
- 3 sweet potatoes
- 2 TBSP Avocado Oil
- 1-2 TBSP Arrowroot Starch
- Parsley (finely chopped fresh, or dried)
- Dill (finely chopped fresh, or dried)
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Pepper
- Sea Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit
- Slice potato into steak fry pieces, then place in a bowl of cold water and let soak for 30 minutes
- After 30 minutes, strain and pat dry with a towel
- Add back to bowl and toss with avocado oil, arrowroot starch, and all spices EXCEPT salt (add even amounts of all spices to taste. Approximately 1 tsp of each)
- Spread evenly on parchment-lined baking dish
- Bake for 20 minutes, then flip each fry and bake another 20 minutes
*I like them just a little charred on the ends, but adjust baking time by a few minutes to your preference
Enjoy! xx
